Welcome, I’m so glad that you are here.
My name is Stacey Thompson and I have some good news that I’d like to share with you….
Healing from the impact of trauma and challenging life experiences is possible.
When we experience trauma or chronic stress, our bodies can get stuck in a fight, flight, freeze or fawn (please and appease) response. This “stuckness” can leave us dysregulated, meaning that we are unable to control or manage our emotional or behavioral responses.
Dysregulation from trauma and stress can show up in many ways including anxiety, low mood, negative self-beliefs, physical pain, and sexual dysfunction.
Traditional talk therapy can be helpful in dealing with these symptoms, but sometimes it's not enough.

Why My Approach is Different
As a somatic therapist, I deeply believe that our brains and bodies have a natural ability to heal, and that distressing symptoms can be alleviated through use of therapeutic techniques which tap into our body's wisdom.
Somatic and brain-based therapies such as Somatic Experiencing, Brainspotting, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) focus on the mind-body connection and can empower you to heal from the emotional and somatic impact of traumatic and stressful life experiences.
